Kickin’ Cancer in Redwood County is a volunteer board of directors. Our main fundraising event is held annually at Gilfillan Estate and it takes a great deal of person power to make this event successful. We are grateful for our team leads who take on the responsibility of organizing each piece of the event. We’re also so grateful for our Volunteers who take on the work of implementing the tasks!
Through fundraising at our annual Kickin’ Cancer event and generous donors, we purchase blessing bags for cancer patients and their caregivers. Financial support assistance is also available to help offset the costs associated with a cancer diagnosis.

5th Annual Kickin’ Cancer Event
The weather was perfect, not too hot, not too cold, no rain and just a breeze. The crew from Bayer was able to once again come and help with all of our set up of luminaries, the ceremony and meal area. The event was a success with over 350 attendees - including over 90 survivors - we raised a little over $13,000 that night alone. In addition to our sponsorships that were given prior, we raised a total of $63,194 as of September 2025 with donations collected all year including donations given in memory of family members who have passed.
