Kickin’ Cancer in Redwood County is a volunteer board of directors. Our main fundraising event is held annually at Gilfillan Estate and it takes a great deal of person power to make this event successful. We are grateful for our team leads who take on the responsibility of organizing each piece of the event. We’re also so grateful for our Volunteers who take on the work of implementing the tasks!
Through fundraising at our annual Kickin’ Cancer event and generous donors, we purchase blessing bags for cancer patients and their caregivers. Financial support assistance is also available to help offset the costs associated with a cancer diagnosis.

6th Annual Kickin’ Cancer Event
The 2026 Kickin’ Cancer in Redwood County event looked a little different than years past, but the spirit of the evening remained the same. After rain fell throughout the day, we moved our activities indoors and created a warm, welcoming environment for survivors, families, volunteers, and community members to come together.
Despite the weather, attendance remained strong with nearly the same number of attendees as previous years - around 325, including many cancer survivors who joined us for this special evening of hope, support, and remembrance. Thanks to the generosity of our community, we raised more than $15,000 during the event alone.
Along with sponsorships and donations received throughout the year, including gifts made in memory of loved ones, Kickin’ Cancer has raised a total of $82,967 as of August 6, 2026. Every dollar raised stays local and helps provide support, resources, and encouragement to individuals and families impacted by cancer throughout Redwood County.
We are incredibly grateful for our volunteers, sponsors, donors, and everyone who continues to make this event and our mission possible.
