Kickin’ Cancer in Redwood County Brings Community Together
The 5th Annual Kickin’ Cancer in Redwood County event was held on August 1, 2025 at the Gilfillan Estates in Morgan, Minnesota.
Formerly known as Relay for Life, the Kickin’ Cancer in Redwood County event continues the tradition of uniting those whose lives have been touched by cancer. It is a time to celebrate survivorship, honor loved ones, and raise funds to support individuals as they face their cancer journey.
The weather couldn’t have been better—comfortable temperatures, no rain, and just the right amount of breeze. Once again, the crew from Bayer generously volunteered their time to help set up luminaries, the ceremony space, and meal areas.
The evening was a tremendous success, drawing over 350 attendees, including more than 90 survivors. That night alone, we raised over $13,000. Combined with sponsorships received earlier in the year, as well as memorial donations honoring loved ones, the total amount raised as of September 2025 has reached an incredible $63,194.
The evening began with survivor registration and a community meal, generously funded by the Orrin Estebo Foundation and catered by The Market. The opening ceremony honored cancer survivors from across Redwood County.
Together, Redwood County continues to stand strong in the fight against cancer.
